DMBJ journey continued…

I‘ve been taking a bit of a break from DMBJ after the Pingxie exchange, but as you could see from my recent art post, I‘m back in the right headspace for it now.
I am going to reread the parts of Volume 4 that Merebear has translated (they are more than halfway finished, so fast OMG) and catch up, so I can get closer to Sha Hai (that will take some time yet though).
Meanwhile I hear NPSS has posted new Rain Village chapters which I‘m saving for the really dark time of the year…
I‘ve also decided to finally watch The Lost Tomb 1. By happy coincidence,bladedweapons has also started it and keeps linking episode reaction posts in dmbj_tombraiders here in this community. Check them out for some lovely screenshots and Xiaoge gifs!

Date: 2023-10-03 05:57 pm (UTC)i know I came for zyl and couldn’t stand how horribly characterised xiaoge was (HE SAVES WU XIE IN THE VERY BEGINNING AND IS SET UP AS A HERO THEN JUST LEAVES HIM AFTER THE SODA CAN INCIDENT?????? if it were me i’d punch the shit out of whoever did that to my bf so idk what the writers were thinkin there)

That, and (now that I know almost the whole DMBJ story via the novels) how little he was even in it! I haven't read the books set during Reunion yet, but from everything that came before, it doesn't make sense for him to be away for so long when Wu Xie is so ill.
