It‘s time for your favourite Pingxie works! Fic, art, meta, fanvids and more - anything goes, any work previously recced is eligible. Without Wu Xie and Zhang Qiling's relationship DMBJ wouldn‘t be the same, so let‘s share the love and breadth of fannish interpretations of their relationship.
Here is a handy template for adding your own recs:
Please note: Due to summer being slower because of people leaving for holidays etc. I am posting the next round in 3 weeks time instead of two again. I also reordered the rec themes in my notes a little since I got some suggestions. Next theme: Alternate Universes!

Why I like it:This fic feels like stepping into a warm bath. It's got Xiaoge's POV and Ace Wu Xie, and relationship negotiations, and my favorite thing: two people not getting it on in a situation where others might and talking about it. (also it was written for me, so I'm completely biased)

Warnings:
Why I like it: Zhang Qiling loses his memories again (which is sad) and derives some... creative conclusions regarding his and Wu Xie's relationship and, ah. Comes in hot.
I just love the body language - Wu Xie's stuttering blushes and the intimacy of bare feet, and Zhang Qiling's methodical attempts to draw the appropriate conclusions - and you can see why he gets it wrong, but... Anyway, it's both hilarious, sweet, and very poignant.

Title: Downburst
Creator: Scherzanda
Pairing: Wu Xie/Zhang Qiling
Rating: E
Warnings: References to past illness; slightly kinky sex
Why I like it: Wu Xie wants to rewrite some of his memories of Lungs and asks Xiaoge to help. What follows is a v. intimate sex scene with a strong sense of place, and it's not just hot - all the communication, verbal and non-verbal, and it's so steamy and intense and yet so gentle...

Summary:
Xiaoge knew better than to believe in easy wishes.
All wishes had consequences.
All dreams had dark sides.
Every answered prayer had a price.
So he watched, and he catalogued, and he waited for the other shoe to drop.
It didn't take long.

Pairing: Pingxie
Rating: T
Warnings: visceral depiction of a pretty strong nosebleed
Why I like it: This is one I completely forgot to add, a perfect Ultimate Note Xiaoge who wakes up in the middle of the night in Banai because of a nosebleed. Of course, he doesn‘t want to bother Wu Xie and Pangzi with this and tries to take care of it alone. Featuring lovely tender hurt comfort and their first kiss!

Why I like it: This is Rain Village established relationship Pingxie with a very drunken evening as the starting point. Wu Xie under the influence is a delight, and once the confessions start it gets heart rending.

Summary: with autumn breezes brings change to the monotonous spin of the clock. or, zhang qiling meets the eyes of a stranger from across a train platform.
Why I like it: Lovely, soft, atmospheric, and a delightful modern AU that plays into the Reboot-visual age difference between (older) Wu Xie and (younger) Xiaoge. Perfect for fans of Old Fashioned Cupcake or Cherry Magic

Creator: Yuelaine
Pairing: Wu Xie/Zhang Qiling
Rating: E
Warnings: Hallucinations, derealisation, some tricky consent issues through limited understanding of a situation, illness. (Honestly it’s a lot nicer than these warning make it sound.)
Why I like it: In the middle of Sand Sea, Wu Xie snorts some venom and has a protracted hallucination not of someone’s memories, but his own fantasy of a happy retirement in a nice little village where it rains all the time and Pangzi and Xiaoge both want to live in his house and Xiaoge is… warm. Clearly this fantasy is helping him understand his own desires so he might as well explore them.
It’s honestly very kind and loving, and has a happy ending.
Title: 【瓶邪】目所能及 | As Far as the Eye Can See
Creator: goれ(lastyearwascomplicated)
Pairing: Wu Xie/Zhang Qiling
Rating: E
Warnings: Temporary blindness
Why I like it: Wu Xie temporarily goes stone blind, probably as a result of his Sand Sea shenanigans. With the enforced simplicity of his temporary situation and the need for caretaking, he lets down his guard a little about the grimness of the ten years away. Stuff happens. I don’t want to give too much of the plot away but, like the fic I recced above, it’s very kind and loving, and has some interesting contrast between Sand Sea and Rain Village and how Wu Xie adapts between those two worlds.
